This is a fine and comfy seat for an older child, but please for your child's safety do not use it at the recommended 24 months. Whoever made that recommendation is NOT a certified child passenger safety technician, because if they were, they would know that a child that young is much better off in a harnessing car seat or even rear-facing. Customer Review: Okay, but only for certain chairs.
I bought this because it was such a great price and my daughter loved the color. I thought, "How different can booster seats be? And why should I pay $50.00 bucks for one?" Well, we have cushioned chairs with vintage plastic covered chairs, and these plastic boosters "cut" right into the cushioned upolstry in a really bad way. I refuse to destroy my chairs to pay less for a booster. I went out and bought the ultra-expensive cushioned boosters with flat, soft bottoms to protect my chairs. If you have any cushions on your chairs or upostered chairs, this is not for you. I still gave them three stars however, because I gave them to my in-laws and they work pretty well on their hard wood chairs. On the other hand, I'm still concerned about the hard, sharp plastic edges scratching the seats of their chairs.

Customer Review: Great Product - Straps are a challenge
I have been a long time fan of Britax (have had a Marathon for 4+ years)and I liked the fact that this model has the continued 5 point harness. My daughter loves the Frontier now that she's 4.5 and weighs 38lbs (just outgrew the Marathon straps) and I'm glad that it provides her the extra support she needs in the event of an accident. I cannot see her being able to restrain herself enough just with the seat belt strap. She likes the 2 cup holders and the color (red). Only a couple of cons...The assembly isn't quick and dirty, but I kept reminding myself that it's a one time thing. The straps continue to twist. It seems to be a Britax curse. They've taken steps to make it better, and it is, but the straps do tend to twist. I figure these things are a small price to pay for overall safety. In general, I would still highly recommend this seat and the peace of mind it provides with the extra restraint. I can live with the strap issue for a while longer.

Unable to get shoulder straps lengthened to allow child to strap in when the child is sitting in the booster. They will only lengthen if no weight is in the booster. For the cost, I wasn't expecting any problems.

Purchased this 6 months ago and overall i am very happy. i bought it based on safety reviews and i wanted a seat that my son could stay in with a full harness since that is the safest. i do have some negative comments about this seat. the reclining feature is a pain in the butt to use, and then when you do use it, it causes the bottom of it to shift forward or backward depending on how you're reclining which loosens the slack that keeps the chair tight against the car, making the chair loose and unsafe. the second problem i have with this seat is the LATCH system. when you click both metal pieces to the LATCH, tightening it is difficult. the way it runs through the back of the seat causes it to bunch up and very hard to feed it though the metal click thing when tightening. my son enjoys the cup holder that extends out and he is able to buckle himself in without a problem with is nice.

Our daughter outgrew her Britax Roundabout. We bought the Eddie Bauer seat as a replacement because it would saftely hold our tall child. The Britax seat is much higher quality in all aspects: the frabic, cushion, belt fastners, etc. We are just used to the extra niceties of our Britax seat and dislike the Eddie Bauer because it isn't as nice. I would definately spend the extra money on another Britax before buying an Eddie Bauer.

I bought it for my daughter and the only complaint I had is that one of the ties was broken. but it was easy to fix and now works great! She loves the fact that it reaches the table. I spent many weeks researching a good booster seat for my 3 year old boy. I went to the usual stores with the hopes of buying a booster, but was disappointed with the selections and prices. Even the most expensive brands seemed cheap and flimsy. Having read the reviews on Compass brands, I decided to order one on Amazon. The seat arrived and was far superior to the most expensive brands I saw at the stores. Sturdy, comfortable and rich with features like the folding option, movable armrests and the height adjustment. For $65.00, it is far superior to the expensive brands at the stores. This is my 2nd Compass booster and it is great! My 6 year old's still looks new and has held up beautifully. The seats are easy to transport and easy for children to use, my 4 year old can easily buckle the seatbelt herself. It adjusts to your childs height, which keeps the seat belt at the perfect location on the chest (not all on the neck). The cupholders are very useful and the seats wipe clean easily. (try a baby wipe for a tough stain...) This carseat has been excellent all the way around, and I have 3 kids who have gone through a LOT of carseats, this is easily the best one we have used. Highly recommend.

I love this booster seat! We had our 20 month old son in a Britax Roundabout, as well as, a Marathon and they both seemed to be getting a bit snug for him. They sit up very high from the main seat of the car and he was hitting his head on the roof of our Landcruiser and Ridgeline nearly each time he got in his seat. I went on an exhaustive search of comparing seats and reading reviews and this one offered everything I was looking for: 3 reclining positions, pivoting armrests, 5pt harness and a low profile. I have no complaints. Originally, we tried the new Eddie Bauer Bryant Collection adjustable car sear and it sat up so upright, it was uncredibly uncomfortable. This is by far the absolute best! We have since bought 2 more for my husband's car and Grandmas. Highly recommend!

My daughter loves this car seat, and it is my favorite as well (we have 4 different models). I don't understand how the inability of one car seat to latch in one person's car makes this car seat unreliable as a whole. Mine latches great, and is done quickly, under 2 minutes. I've also had it inspected by a car seat specialist who said it is a great seat, and was installed properly.

this product is great because it's a booster with a 5 point harness. most parents of 3+ yr olds use standard boosters with a seat belt. I wasn't comfortable with that option. this seat is great because it will eventually turn into a belt using booster. plus my son doesn't feel like he's in a "baby" carseat, he's a "bigboy". we have 2 of these, one for each vehicle.

I researched car seats as my daughter approached 40 pounds and was outgrowing her harness. Since she's just over 3 years old, I just didn't feel ready to switch her to a seatbelt. After researching and reading reviews I decided on the Apex 65 hoping to keep my "baby" hooked in to a harness as long as possible. So far I'm very happy with the car seat. It is mainly in my 2008 Honda Civic but shortly after receiving we took the car seat on vacation. It has worked well on 4 airplanes and 3 different cars while on vacation. I read one review saying her daughter was already at the top strap holes. It think this person didn't see that there is an additional set of strap holes under the headrest when it's raised. I don't know if my daughter will fit in the harness up to 65 pounds but I'm guessing she will fit in a harness up to at least 50-55 pounds and I'm happy with that. The only negative I've noticed is relating to the seat pad. When my daughter climbs up, the light blue seat pad sometimes bunches up under her. Otherwise, she's comfortable and seems to like the car seat. Super fast shipping...and free shipping on my purchase!

Customer Review: Only carseat that will fit in the back of a extended cab pickup
We bought this carseat after a long search and talking to several people at baby stores. It is the only seat that we have found at any price that will actually fit in on the back bench seat of a extended cab pickup truck. We don't use it very much, only a few times a week, but it has held up well over about 2 years or so, including shipping it on an airline (and we all know how well THOSE guys like to treat things). Haven't had a problem yet. And honestly, even if we did I would be forced to buy it again because, like I said, it is the only one that fits properly in the back of the truck...
Customer Review: Functionally good, but the styrofoam padding breaks easily
I've had the Graco Cargo Platinum for about 2 years now - got it for my son when he was about 2-1/2. Pluses: Comfy for the child Removable cup/toy holders. Reasonable cost Lightweight Decent looking Cover comes off so it can be cleaned easily. Buckles operate & adjust easily. Minus: We've had to replace the styrofoam padding twice on this seat because it got broken, probably from flexing as the child climbs in and gets in position. Behind the cover is a U-shaped piece of styrofoam (um, "EPS energy absorbing foam"), covering the back and wrapping the around the side bolsters. So when the child grabs onto the sides they may flex and break. The replacement cost from Graco is reasonable - about $15 - but it seems that such a safety-related part shouldn't be so fragile in normal usage.

Customer Review: pricey for its quality overall, yet very ergonomically agreeable
though it has shape good to allow ergonomical fit or snugginess around the child, it does come w/ a harness that is average, if not a tad unfriendly. Quality at first glance is more than any lesser brand w/ a similar price tag. You would expect more sturdiness in the material at this level called "Elite"; but it'd slightly disappoint you, the build quality is rather barely above standard. I rate it 4 stars for its ergonomics and hollow seat that caves in, whereas other brand do not have this. I would recommend it to all nevertheless, albeit its price and disappointing build quality.

First one worked fine for newest grandchild so when older grandchild's seat was just too yucky (got it used at least 4 years ago for first grandchild)I just gave in and got her a new one, too. LOVE the way the height adjusts for growing kids. No need to even unLATCH the base! Grandma-mobile now boasts the best 3 seats in town! & the best 3 grandkids!

My 3 month old loves this seat and so do I. My son loves sitting upright all by himself and I love having my hands back!! Especially when I read him books.. now I can hold a book in front of him, point at all the pictures, and turn the pages without having to maneuver everything around. Oh and the tray is a great new addition. My son will sit in the chair 5x longer when he has the toy to entertain him.

I really like this booster seat and so does my son. It was always a battle to get him to sit in his old seat but not with this one. I haven't had any issues with the color not coming clean. I just wipe it down immediately after meals and it states white. The seat didn't even stain when it got tomato sauce on it. I would highly recommend this chair.

Love this booster seat. I just wish it wouldn't be so expensive. My favorite part is that it has LATCH, which is the only reason why I chose this one over the cheaper seats. I hesitated to put my daughter in a booster seat, but this one feels very safe. Ended up getting two of them.
